The Social Media Manager/Content Creator will oversee and enhance the program’s online presence through innovative content creation, social media management, and strategic optimization. They will drive engagement, increase visibility, and effectively communicate the program’s values and impact to diverse audiences.

Overview

era92 Creative is a fast growing youth creative social enterprise. We work with nonprofits, businesses and entrepreneurs to deliver high quality digital services that range from Web Development & Design, Film-Making, Copywriting, Graphics Design and Social Media Management. Profits from this work help us upskill youth from the slums with digital skills. To date, over 1000 youth have been impacted with digital skills and jobs through the Elevate Academy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation and Creativity:

  • Develop and implement innovative content ideas to boost engagement across social media platforms.
  • Craft impactful, catchy, and meaningful posts that align with the organization’s mission and values.
  • Create and adapt content for various platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), TikTok, newsletters, and the website.

2. Target Setting and Achievement:

  • Define measurable targets for growth (e.g., followers, views, engagement rates) on each social media platform.
  • Ensure targets are met within specified timelines through strategic planning and execution.

3. Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

  • Optimize the organization’s website and social media content to enhance online visibility.
  • Implement strategies to reach broader communities beyond the tech audience.

4. Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Monitor the performance of social media platforms, compiling reports on visibility, engagement, and growth.
  • Analyze key metrics to measure success and inform future strategies.

5. Platform Optimization and Problem-Solving:

  • Identify weaknesses and challenges in the program’s social media presence.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve platform functionality and engagement.

6. Campaign Management:

  • Collaborate with the team to create campaigns that align with program goals.
  • Ensure content resonates with the target audience and drives desired actions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in social media management and content creation.

  • Strong understanding of SEO and digital marketing strategies.
  • Creativity and ability to generate engaging, high-quality content.
  • Proficiency in using tools for content scheduling, analytics, and video editing.
  • Creativity and a passion for using words to inspire action and drive positive change.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
